Start Em Sit Em Week 11 - Running Backs

Every time it feels like the "dust is settling" on some running back situations, a new injury or lineup change comes about and switches us all up. Onto week 11, in the waste ridden world us humans have grown to call the running back position. God help us all.

*As always, "must-starts" not included.*

Start Em

AJ Dillon, Packers vs Vikings

I guess Dillon's placement here determines whether you consider him a must start or not. In my eyes he is, but for those who need a bit of convincing, just look at last weeks touches. 21 carries is nothing to gloss over, and I doubt that changes in a sneakily important game vs the Vikings. I see Dillon finishing, at worst, as a top 12 RB.

Josh Jacobs, Raiders vs Bengals

The pure definition of getting written out by the game script, I expect Jacobs to bounce back in a plus matchup vs the Bengals. I expect this game to go to the wire, and his increasing role in the passing game is inspiring as well. I don't see him having a super high ceiling, but you can do much, much worse for a RB2.

D'Onta Foreman, Titans vs Houston

Revenge game! Lets have some fun! On a surface level, Foreman checks off just about all the boxes you need if you're streaming a RB. Extremely plus matchup, got the most touches last game, and passed the eye test better than any other back in Tennessee. If there was any game for Tennesee to establish a clear lead back, it would be this one. Consider Foreman a risky RB2, with a RB3 floor.

Myles Gaskin, Dolphins vs Jets

Its an odd week.

Sit Em

Antonio Gibson, Football Team vs Panthers

This one feels wrong. Gibby had a solid game against the Buccanners stout run D, taking 24 (!!!) carries for 2 TDs en route to a 20+ PPR point day. However, I'm steering clear of him this week. He gets another difficult, if not harder matchup in Carolina, and he is still dealing with the stress fracture in his shin so injury is always an issue. You could do a lot worse for a RB2 with a low ceiling here, but I don't consider him a top 15 back this week.

Elijah Mitchell, 49ers vs Jaguars

He cannot seem to stay fully healthy. A frequent user of the blue no contact jersey at practice, Mitchell has a broken finger and has uncertain status for Sundays game. Even if he is healthy, his snaps are starting to get taken by Jeff Wilson Jr, who had 10 on Monday. Consider Mitchell a RB2 with a very low ceiling, and JWJ becomes a must start if Mitchell can't suit up.

Alex Collins, Seahawks vs Cardinals

Can somebody not named Pete Carroll check in on Chris Carson? Every week seemingly gets more confusing about his injury status, and if he doesn't go Sunday then expect Collins to get most of the snaps here. However, I can't trust the Seahawks run game until I see the pass game going. Especially against a very solid Arizona D Line. He has a pretty safe floor of around 8 PPR points, but I can' see the ceiling being much higher.

Zack Moss/Devin Singletary, Bills vs Colts

Anyone who drafted either of these guys had to have expected the other would start stealing snaps and touchdowns soon enough. But where the hell did Matt Brieda come from? A 2 touchdown game against the Jets was just about the worst thing that could've happened for any Moss or Singletary managers. Now, you get a RBBC matchup against the Colts. Yikes.

*Bust Alert*: Mike Davis, Falcons vs Patriots

I know you want to do it. Patterson is out! Pitts will be getting double covered! Please don't start Mike Davis. He has looked atrocious in every single aspect, and I fully expect not only a negative game script, but Wayne Gallman to pass him in total snaps by the time the game is finished.
